We live next door to a “crazy cat lady”. Much like this.
She is a 60+ year old single (always has been) woman, no kids, few relatives, no friends, as far as I know. A true, hardcore, crazy cat lady.
At any given time she has 5-10 semi-feral cats (and possums, and raccoons at night) she is feeding, not to mention the 10+ that live inside with her. When the wind blows right…the smell we get wafting our way is down right nauseating.
She isn’t just a cat lover, she is a cat hoarder. Florida has a huge feral cat population, because of this many places offer free spaying or neutering. She does not get her cats fixed, because she wants them to have kittens. She wants more nasty cats to rub up against her face (yes, she really rubs them on her face). I think this is completely irresponsible on her part. We were even told her cats have cat AIDS, and she just keeps letting them breed, making more nasty AIDS kitties.
We were always very nice to her, and let her cats use our yard for a litter box for years. There is nothing like stepping in a fresh cat turd…nothing. Her damn AIDS cats even left scratches all over the hood of our car. I don’t even view these animals as pets, to me they are feral vermin. When we decided to put our house on the market, we decided to take action against her and the nasty AIDS cats…… Because who wants to buy a house with a yard sprinkled with cat turds , reeking of cat piss? Not I. War was waged, and an action planned concocted……
To be continued…….part 2 next Wednesday

That is animal abuse, isn't it? having sick kittens, just to have them? I can't wait to hear the rest of the story. BTW, how is the house selling?
ReplyDeleteThat is so gross! I have a gal living behind me right now raising a ton of rabbits. (I blogged about it recently) and I want to take action against her too.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! I can't wait to hear the rest of the story!
I like cats, but I don't exactly like feral cats.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to live next to a crazy cat ladies either.
Okay, you've captured my attention! I wanna' know what happens next!
ReplyDeleteBoy I hope you get somewhere reporting her to "authorities" and you're doing the cats a favor sounds like - not to mention helping to sell you own house. Riveted for your next installment! :)
ReplyDeleteFeel bad for those cats - they should be spayed and neutered so there could never be a problem. Guess she hasn't been watching her Price Is Right.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the cat issues but here's a "The Let's be Friends" award! Come by my blog to see:)
ReplyDeleteBeth...i thnk some people like this neighbor who should be reported - she is out of control with the cats. I mean, there are many of us who are cat people too but I don't think we "abuse" being priviledge.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you think it is a health hazard to your family as well as to her, then please do report it.
Safe hugz!
I am not a cat person. 1 year after we bought our house we got new neighbors. And their 3 cats. Which live outside and get feed outside along with countless other strays. I don't like it.
ReplyDeleteThats really gross!! Poor cats! love the description and pic of her though :)
ReplyDeleteI am a cat person but this is crazy! You should not have to deal with this at all. Those cats can not be healthy and it can not be healthy for her or your family. I would never let my cat out of the house and I would never let her mess up someones property. Reporting her is a must. I am very much looking for your update and I hope the ASPCA does something about this issue. You should not have to put up with this from her.
ReplyDeletei love my cats and take responsibility for them. they are both fixed. To have cats like that and keep breeding them, that's insane. I will definately have to keep reading for next weeks conclusion.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've always considered myself a crazy cat lady LOL but at least all ours are fixed and up to date on shots. And clean!
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of the neighbours cats though. My planters keep getting knocked off the porch railing because of them and I am this close >.< to turning from the psychotic housewife into the psychotic neighbor and letting it rip in the middle of the street. ;)
