God’s Country?

So this will wrap up my Minnesota trip posts, as I am sure you are all sick of them by now, but I left some of the best pictures for last…but there are lots!!

I guess I was just in awe of all the beauty of Minnesota that I took for granted for so many years.

barn22

Like the barns, you just don’t see many barns in Florida.

 barn11

Good year for corn?

mnsky22

And the sky, oh my goodness the sky.

boatsky3

Granted, Florida has some beautiful sunsets, you have to drive to the beach to see them.

boatsky5

The skyline just seems bigger in Minnesota.

mnsky

This is about a 1/2 mile down the road from the house I grew up in.

flower2

We went to Munsinger Gardens, and I have tons of great flower pictures, but I won’t bore you with too many, here are some of my favorites.

roriver21

And one of my very favorite from the trip. Ro loved the river, and the rocks…oddly we don’t really have rocks in Florida…just sand.

That wraps up our Minnesota trip!

  1. I agree the sky does seem bigger in Minnesota. I'm originally from middle Tennessee and now I live in north western MN. The sky seems HUGE here. No hills, or trees...just open fields and sky!

  11. Funny--we dream of going to Florida for vacation (We're in MN)....there are things that I don't like about MN, like when it gets to be -30*F in the winter, but the good stuff so much outweighs the bad that even if I had a chance to move to a warmer climate, I'm not sure I would! I'm glad you liked it too :-)

You took some really nice pictures. You're very talented.

However, the bestest, most beautiful sky scenery can only be find in my country, in the Namibib desert. Ok, I am being biased.

I visited Minnesota once, but it was covered with snow and since the circumstances were less than ideal, we didn't get to see much outside the hotel and the funeral home. Maybe one day we will make it back. My mom grew up there and always talks about it!
