I took some “me” time this week and drove a little bit out of town to a little town known for its antique shops.
I just figured I could take some pictures, and enjoy my free time. The town has lots of old buildings also.
And cute little houses.
And churches.
Church windows.
More old buildings, all of the textures were really neat.
And really cool old doors.
I heart this picture.
And neat old windows.
This was painted on the side of a wooden building.
It was all in the detail….so quaint.
More cute buildings.
I fell in love with this bike.
An old Schwinn.
Me in the bike mirror…why don’t bikes come with mirrors anymore…?
And then I drove around on roads like this, and found myself in a very unexpected place, but that is for another post….

ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite things to do... roam and take photos... now I just need the right type of camera! :-) My old SLR film camera is broken and I haven't gotten a Digital SLR yet. Hopefully Santa is listening.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend. Can't wait to read the post about WHERE you ended up, I LOVE your writing...
My favorites. Black and white brick building photo, aqua blue window, and of course the green bike shot with the Gracious Living in the window, and I love how the last photo if you distort it with your eye looks like the house has legs (using the roadway). Awesome shots. That sounds like a perfect day to spend alone.
ReplyDeleteMy best, Lynn

Moomette's Magnificents last blog post: More Family Fun at the Fair
coming from a family of 7 generations here in florida "myself 5th" Rural Florida is a site to behold. Although populated in some counties A good bit of Florida is still Old Florida, just gotta get out of your cocoon and drive a bit to find it. North Florida is unpopulated for the most part. I camp that region often and I love the small towns and Florida crackers/natives I run into. South Florida has beautiful country too, yeah the coast/beaches are great, but all you have to do no matter where you are in Florida is drive down the road a piece and you'll find all the down home you're looking for, may it be farms, ranches, majestic oaks, agriculture, or just small little that have all that, but make sure you go back home okay? Let's leave those places alone!:)
