I can’t remember if I made this last year or the year before…anyway I saw this Halloween advent calendar in the Pottery Barn catalog. I knew I had to have one, but did not want to pay $60 for it! This is Pottery Barn’s.
Sometimes it pays to be manic! Did I mention I did all the sewing by hand. I was going to do a tutorial on how to make one, but life got in the way..next year I will write it.
We had a Christmas advent calendar growing up and I loved it. When I saw this idea I decided we would do a Halloween advent calendar instead of Christmas…it helps break up all the gifts and spending!
Rowan thinks that a witch comes every night and leaves him and Ezra a present. Its so fun for them…plus I tell them they have to behave or the witch won’t come….this witch has leverage!
Happy Witching Month!

You did such a wonderful job. You should make them and sell them. Give yourself a pat on the back.
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a great idea. It looks just as good as the $60 one. Guesstimate how much this one cost.
ReplyDeletethat is such a cool idea!
ReplyDeletewow. SUPER impressed Beth :)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't say which one's worth $60! But the one you made looks great for sure. Wonderful!

ReplyDeleteYou did a great job - now I want to make one!
ReplyDeletewhat a great calendar!! I love that and its so nice to be able to use it every year. I 'd love to learn how to make one of those when you do your blog about it. thanks and happy witching month to you too!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Way too cute and seeing as though Halloween is almost as big of a deal in our house as Christmas, i want one!! Very cute!! Yours is better than the PB one too!!
ReplyDeleteYou sewed that whole thing by hand??? (Bowing to your awesomeness.) That is very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I'm looking forward to being creative like that with my little one's. Mine, however, will most likely be out of construction paper.
ReplyDeleteIt's the thought, right? ;)
I love it! I'm jealous. I can't sew at all!
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween, October, Fall....my very favorite time of the year.
That is just fabulous! What do you put in the little pockets?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't bring myself to pay $60 for an advent calendar either. I like yours better anyway - it's every bit as cute, it's freaking handmade {wow!} and it takes up less space!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog the other day when I was SITS featured blogger!
