Here I am in all my Aqua Net glory. I don’t even know what year this was taken, 1989 perhaps. I sure had some blonde hair.
I know my mom braided my hair the night before to get the “crimped” look, a small mouse must have made a nest in my bangs while I was sleeping. I really like the one side of my hair clipped up and the other made into a wing. Wow. Thank god the 80’s are over.

Awww. I think it's cute. I'm not saying I don't have bad hair days. I'm just not sure if I can get my hand on some photos. I hope everyone has fun. I'll be watching.
ReplyDeleteThe small-mouse-nest comment had me laughing. So cute. My mom was cruel with my hair (not intentionally, of course.) I had a frizzy mass of curls....and she used to twist them into banana curl pony tails. Mortifying.

I think you look cute! I am sure I could find some photos of me that would make your hair look tame! I had some 80's bangs that could scare anyone...oh and a perm on my REALLY thick hair that looked like Gilda Radner as "Rosanna-Rosanna-Danna"

ReplyDeleteThat's not so bad. I think you look cute. I wanted crimped hair so badly in the 80's. I had a Little Orphan Annie perm so I couldn't get the look I wanted.

ReplyDeleteI'm having flash-backs for sure of my bad hair day's. My mom has all of my pictures...I'm gonna have her dig one out for me...I love this idea!!
I remember braiding my hair to have that crimped look, but I have curly hair, so it came out really bad... just all wild and sticking out everywhere.
