Photo Textures

I have been teaching myself how to use textures in Photoshop lately, you can find a lot of free textures to use on Flickr. Just search for textures. I think I found these through links on Coffee Shop (which if you use Photoshop, you really need to check out!). I love her actions.

Can you please take the poll in my sidebar, as to what type of program you use to edit photos. I am thinking I am going to start doing a few DSLR camera, and photo editing tutorials.

texturea Love this texture, I find I keep coming back to it because it makes everything look like a vintage postcard.

texturecshurch Same texture, this is a picture of a wedding I got to photograph the other weekend, isn’t that church amazing?

The texture is very subtle on this one, if you click on the image it should enlarge it, but I put a faint crackle on the train car. I wanted to take our family xmas portrait on the train car, but just as soon as the boys got on it, they wanted off, *sigh*.

mee My amazing husband took this one of me (can you believe it a pic. of me!) A beautiful texture I found that someone took of an old painting.

lamp I am not sure that this really has much texture to it, but I still really liked it. It adds a lot to the picture.

I almost love photo editing as much as I do taking the actual pictures!

Ahh! Amazing pictures! I use PS4 and the textures have always intimidated me, but seeing your edit's makes me want to try again!

You hubby did an amazing job taking your pic. I'd say he's hired!!

I would love, love, love, some "how to" posts! I am an aspiring photographer. Amateur in expertise, professional in quantity :) Any tips you can share would be much appreciated! You take beautiful photos!

The train car would've been so neat - but I'm sure you'll find something else just as cool!

I love the editing that you've done - especially the last one. And your husband took a great shot!

Hi there photo lady! Amazing church is right! And the photo of you, well downright GORGEOUS! I can certainly appreciate the effort to add texture to photos since I worked so hard on that when learning to paint! You know me-----Ms. Anti-techy stuff, haha ---- I'll stick to my brushes and paint but by golly, I cheer you on!!! You know I think your photos are brilliant already!

Those are really cool - someday I hope to learn more about photo editing. I know nothing and haven't taken much time to teach myself! Your hubby got a good photo there! I voted!!

I love that church, I've never been to a wedding there but I bet they're beautiful.
Love your pictures, as always!
