Thought Provoking Thursday

Manic Mother

Watching Glee, last night made me think…..

If you could sing any song effortlessly, which song would you sing?

My Answer: I would sing Alone, by Heart. Yes, I love the 80’s. Every time that song comes up on my MP3 player I belt it out, despite my lack of singing skills.

Your turn! Leave your answer in the comments, or do TPT on your blog, use my question or one of your own, you can find the button in my sidebar. You know you want to post a youtube video of your favorite song!

For no reason other than I just love the song but I would (and sometimes do!!) love to belt out Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like a Bird."

I love Heart! I just recently bought their greatest hits CD. Love it. I'm also eager to watch Glee today online! As far as what I'd sing, I have no idea!!

I'm tone deaf and my children tell me I can't sing. I also am not one to randomly sing out loud.
But when in a car with the radio up - I've been know to belt out a few - Love Shack being one of my old fave's.

very good tune. I love this one. I love to sing too actually. I love Heart. That's a really good one to sing. I might pick something by a singer I don't normally do, like Christina Aguillera. Now for the most part I am not a huge fan because her style of music isn't really my own but I love that song Hurt that she sings. That's a good and emotional tune. She does have some vocal chords that girl.

There are so many that i belt out but i will tell you that Beast of Burden by The Stones is probably #1. A close #2 is Ghost by The Indigo Girls. I used to sing this song LOUD(alot)when i was pregnant w/ Tatum and it amazed me that when she was tiny she would be fussing in her carseat (she HATED riding backwards, it was like the hevens spilled open the day we turned her carseat around) i could turn that song on and she would instantly calm down. She still loves that song and i have to tell her that story every time we put that CD in.

I would sing At Last by Etta James.

I would have to say Blue by LeeAnn Rimes, just because I sound like a dying animal singing it but it's a beautiful song.
I love the 80's too. When I put my Pandora station on here at work it's always on the Eagles channel and we all rock out.

Great song!

I would want to be able to sing No Air by Jordin Sparks.

Hi Beth!
I've always LOVED that song - of course I don't care if I could sing like that - I want to LOOK LIKE HER! haha.

I've posted "Anywhere Is" on my blog before - it's Enya. That's one of my "theme" songs - I know I have a bunch of others but be darned if they pop into my head right now! The combo of Monkey Mind and Senility is a bitch!

I don't know!!! Seriously, I've been sitting here staring at the screen and wishing I could pick a song...there are so many. Oh well, I guess I'll just say that I wish I had even a teeny tiny little ability to sing...but I don't! :)

Hahahah! Fun! Man, is it Nancy Wilson? She can SING! I remember singing their songs on my boxy little walkman, wearing out the cassette tape!

I sing whatever I like when I am alone, and try not to bother anyone in church when I belt out any inspiring song so...I am a shameless wannabe. Wanna sing that Barbara Streisand/ Celine Dion Duet with me?
