4th of July Weekend in Pictures

Has it really been almost 2 weeks since I last posted something? Wow, what a slacker! In my defense I have been trying to keep myself as busy as possible to make the days go by faster. I have been busy with my photography business, play dates, appointments, and all the other countless things being a pregnant mom entails.

I planned a bunch of fun things for us to do over the weekend. On Friday we met some of our family at the movie theater and saw Toy Story 3. Like a fly to honey my husband spotted stick on moustaches in one of those crank machines and was putting quarters into it fast as he could. I love that he got the blonde moustache.

He of course also had to see how it would look on our 3 week old nephew. My husband is an 8 year old boy at heart, I so love that about him. It makes him a really great daddy.

The city we live in sets off their firework display on the 3rd for whatever unknown reason. So Saturday night we set out to see the fireworks. We stopped for ice cream first. Ro loves ice cream with sprinkles, Ezra wanted to play with his.

It rained hard Saturday night although we stuck it out and they finally set the fireworks off at 10. I don’t have any pictures worth sharing from that, we watched them from the back of our minivan.

Sunday we had a lazy day around the house with more rain. It let up at night though and we were able to have our own little firework show for the boys. It started out all right.

Rowan the thrill seeker loved the fireworks.

Ezra ever the cautionary did not love them, he went inside and watched from the window.

Little baby man was indifferent to the festivities….

Ro was finally brave enough to hold his own sparkler this year.

Ezra finally ventured back out and sat on my lap while I held my hands over his ears, and daddy lit off the remaining fireworks.

I asked Ezra the next day if he liked the fireworks, to which he responded “yes, great colors!” Silly boy.

How was your 4th?
