I have seen bites by brown recluse many times and yes they are nasty nasty. I don't think the Black Widow even compared to the gruesomeness of a Brown Recluse. The good news though is not everyone has a severe reaction as the doc said. I see a lot of spiders that look like that but wonder if it's a brown recluse or a wolf spider. We have a lot of those around here. How would I know? The violin shape on the back of a brown recluse does me no good because I won't be getting that close!!! I can't believe it continued to bite your son 4 times.
